Hama | Steps Syria for Community Development Foundation | March 23, 2025
On March 23, 2025, the Steps Syria for Community Development Foundation organized a specialized consultative seminar on financial consulting for accountants in local councils in Hama city. The activity targeted 20 accountants and financial officials from the Hama and Raqqa governorates, including 10 women, with the aim of enhancing transparency and efficiency in financial management.
Building Capabilities to Address Financial Challenges
The seminar was a response to the significant financial challenges facing local councils. The initiative aimed to empower accountants to prepare accurate budgets, develop flexible financial strategies, and enhance transparency. It also sought to provide practical solutions for transitioning to digital accounting systems.
Dr. Nasser Al-Ajeeli led the seminar, which focused on analyzing the current financial situation, enhancing transparency and accountability, strategic financial planning, and building a professional support network. The discussion highlighted the accountants’ need for technical support and practical training for digital transformation.
This initiative is expected to improve the efficiency of accountants and enhance financial planning, thereby strengthening the stability of local councils and their ability to provide services. “Steps Syria” continues its efforts to support the building of strong and transparent local institutions.
