Sweida – Steps Syria for Community Development Foundation

The Steps Syria for Community Development Center in Sweida organized an intensive training course titled “Administrative Qualification for Local Councils” from February 26 to March 1, 2025. The training targeted 16 representatives from eight local councils, including 11 women, with the aim of enhancing their efficiency in planning and decision-making to serve the community.

The program focused on concepts of public administration, transparency, accountability, and community participation. It included modules on administrative functions, leadership, and problem-solving.

The training successfully improved participants’ understanding of administrative concepts and developed their leadership skills. This contributes to strengthening the capacity of local councils to provide better services and build trust within the community. It also underscores Steps Syria for commitment to supporting local capacity building for the reconstruction of Syria.
